Witco Inc.

Witco Inc. hosted sophomores from Memphis High School on Friday, October 7, 2016 and Capac High School Seniors on Wednesday, October 19, 2016 for Manufacturing Day 2016.   The students learned what careers are available in the Manufacturing Industry.  A tour of the facility was given to the students with demonstrations of the various job functions within a manufacturing environment.  Each student received a yo-yo which was manufactured from plastic bar stock and decorated using our newest service; Kolorfusion.

2013 Bridgestone World Solar Challenge

The University of Michigan Solar Car Team has started its quest for their first World Championship. They have finished in the top three five times but feel this year's car "Generation" is more efficient and competi-tive than any car in the past.

The race began on October 5th and includes an 1,800 mile journey across Australia. They are competing against 40 other teams from 23 countries.

Witco is proud to have manufactured components for "Generation" and wish the over 100 students that par-ticipated in creating this vehicle the best of luck.

Witco is a family owned company built on the strength of our employees. Every year Witco celebrates Bring Your Child to Work day by creating a day of fun for our employees and their families.

Dave and Georgina Witt started Witco Inc. on April 15, 1977 in the five car garage located on their farm in Avoca, MI.  Little did they know that their business would blossom into a 50,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility.

Every two years the University of Michigan Solar Car Team designs and builds a vehicle to compete in the American Solar Challenge and the World Solar Challenge.  These two events are road races that encompass thousands of miles of public roads across the United States, Canada, and Australia.

2011 started with a BANG for Witco Inc. as we invested over $500,000 into new CNC equipment.  For several months, Witco has been bringing on new employees (12 in the last 12 months) and even added a second shift to aid in our capacity and throughput.
